First Order of Business:

Nu Moon will be closed November 5th-15th. I’m going to New York!

There’s about 5 days still available before I leave to get in before then, and anybody who books an appointment between now and November 5th and puts “Newsletter” in the appointment description gets 15% off their haircut.

Nu Moon’s hours are Saturday through Tuesday, 12-8. At this point I am planning on being open for “thanksgiving” weekend.

Now for my current obsessions

It feels So Good to have some new obsessions, and I have a bunch right now.

1. Music

Megan has a new album. It's so good. Run don't walk. also, I'm seeing Vince Staples next week and I am SO pumped. Also also, Third Eye Blind's self titled album? timeless. It's been on repeat for weeks.

2. Terminator 2: Judgement Day

I watching this movie for the first time at the beginning of the month, and I am absolutely obsessed. This is the best action movie I think I've ever seen. I could talk about it for an hour straight, I'm probably going to be the Terminator for halloween.

3. Microkorg!

I've had a microkorg for a couple years now and I am finally FAFOing with it and I love it. The other night I figured out the right synth and melody for Gas Pedal by Sage the Gemini lollllllllllll its so fun.

4. My RSS feed

Back when Google Reader was a thing (RIP), and when Google's motto was "Don't Be Evil" (who remembers!!!!!) I was all about my RSS feed. For those not familiar with an RSS feed, its basically a way to have all of your favorite websites, blog updates, news, etc to populate your custom For You Page in chronological order!!!! It's dope. Anyway. I'm using the Inoreader app. There's easy tutorials for finding the RSS link for any website you want if its not available just by searching in the app. 10/10 would recommend. The one problem I'm running in to is that i straight up I don't know nearly as many websites as I used to with regular updates.

5. It's that time of year again.

As you may know, its officially Scorpio Season, and as your resident scorp, I would just like to say, if you ever feel like there is a empty black hole inside of you, have you considered that if we are the universe experiencing itself, that hole is the portal where you can see the universe? Point is, you're never alone. Do with that what you will. Get cozy with the darkness, she's not so bad.

I don't care if you are abstaining from voting for president, the down ballot issues are so, so important. Taking no action is an action, and the outcome is complacency whether you view it as a protest or not. Even if you hate everyone running, we get to choose who we fight against. This is your chance to be strategic. Please exercise that choice.
